There is no button that converts a monthly subscription into a yearly one. The monthly subscription is cancelled first, and the yearly subscription is started as a new purchase once the paid period runs out.
Nothing on your website changes while you do this. Your MLS connection, your import tasks and your imported properties are untouched, because none of them are tied to which plan you are on.
Before you start
- You are signed in at mlsimport.com with the account that holds the subscription.
- You have looked at the next payment date on the subscription, because it decides when to do step four.
Make the change
- Open
mlsimport.com/my-account/and click Subscriptions in the left menu. - Open the active subscription and click Cancel. The status moves to Pending cancellation.
- Keep working. The plugin carries on importing and syncing to the end of the period you have already paid for.
- On or after that end date, go to the pricing page and buy the yearly plan.
- At checkout, pick the card you saved earlier under Payment methods, or enter the card details again.
Expected result: one active yearly subscription on the account, and the plugin still connected without you touching wp-admin.
Wait for the end date before you buy the yearly plan. Buying it while the monthly one is still in its paid period gives you two live subscriptions and two charges, and the overlap is not refunded automatically. The cancelled month runs to its end date whether or not you have bought anything else.
What the change does not affect
Your MLSImport username and password stay the same, so the plugin never loses its connection to your account. Your MLS credentials are stored on your own site and are not part of the subscription at all.
Import tasks, field selections, title formats and every property already imported are WordPress data on your server. A plan change does not read or write any of it.
Save the payment method during the first checkout even if you plan to switch plans later. The second signup then takes one click, which matters here because the gap between cancelling and re-subscribing is exactly when a forgotten card detail costs you a day of imports.
If it does not work
- There is no Cancel button. The subscription is already pending cancellation, or it is on hold after a failed payment. The status at the top of the detail table says which.
- Imports stopped the moment you cancelled. That is not the cancellation. A pending cancellation keeps working to the end date, so check the MLS connection banner in MLS Import Settings instead.
- You bought the yearly plan too early. Both subscriptions are now live. Open a ticket with both order numbers and we will sort out the overlap.
- The yearly plan is bought but the plugin still shows nothing. Clear the plugin cached data from the Tools tab so the MLS list and the token are fetched again.
Frequently asked questions
Can I go the other way, from yearly to monthly?
Yes, by the same route. Cancel the yearly subscription, use it to the end of the year you paid for, then start the monthly plan.
Do I get credit for the months left on the monthly plan?
The monthly plan runs to the end of the period you already paid for, so nothing is lost as long as you start the yearly plan after that date rather than before it.
Will my site stop importing between the two subscriptions?
Only if there is a gap. The API stops answering when the cancelled period ends, so buying the yearly plan on that day rather than a week later keeps the sync unbroken.
Do I have to reconnect my MLS afterwards?
No. The MLS credentials live on your own site and the account username does not change, so the connection resumes on its own once the new subscription is active.
