Can I cancel MLS Import anytime, or is there a contract?
Yes. You can cancel MLS Import, our WordPress MLS (IDX) plugin, anytime from your account. There is no long-term contract and no setup fee. You pay month to month ($49 a month for one MLS) or yearly ($504 a year). When you cancel, your plan keeps working until the last day you already paid for. Then it stops.
- Monthly plan: you are never locked in for more than the month you paid for. There is no yearly term behind it.
- Yearly plan: it runs to the end of the year you paid for.
- No early cancellation fee.

That covers what we bill. Your MLS may charge its own application or data-feed fee, and a developer may bill you for custom setup work. Ask who bills each item before you sign.
Does MLS Import auto-renew?
Yes. Your plan renews on its own until you cancel. Monthly plans bill again each month. Yearly plans bill again each year. Your renewal date is shown as the next payment date on the Subscriptions screen in your account.
To stop the next charge, cancel before that date (steps below). Once the status reads Pending cancellation, no more charges are taken and your listings keep updating until the end date. See Managing your MLSImport subscription to learn what each status means.
Do I need to call or send written notice to cancel?
No. You don’t need to call anyone, send a letter or ask for a form. The Cancel button in your account is the notice (steps below). Keep a screenshot of the Pending cancellation status as your record. If you want a person to watch the change with you, open a support ticket from your account dashboard.
Can I cancel during the 30-day free trial?
Yes. If you cancel before the trial end date shown on your subscription, you pay nothing. If you do nothing, your card is charged automatically on the trial end date and the plan renews from there. We take your card at signup but don’t charge it for 30 days. We send you a reminder email 3 days before the trial ends, so you have time to decide.
To find the date, open Subscriptions in your account and look for the Trial end date row. That is the day the first payment is taken. The connection keeps working until then either way, so there is nothing to gain from cancelling early.
Still waiting for your MLS to approve your feed? The trial starts at signup, and an MLS approval can take days or weeks. Tell us before the trial ends. We can extend the trial, or help you cancel and start again when your credentials arrive. Your settings stay on your site either way. See MLS approval processes that take time.
Do I get a refund if I cancel?
Cancelling does not refund the time you already paid for. Your plan just runs to its end date. If you were charged and did not mean to keep the plan, open a ticket to ask for a refund within 14 days of the charge. We pay it back to the same card through Stripe. Read the Refund Policy for the details.

Your MLS may bill you separately for your data feed. Cancelling MLS Import does not cancel that fee. Call your board and stop it there too, or you may keep paying for a feed nobody uses.
What to ask any MLS plugin vendor before you sign
“Cancel anytime” does not mean the same thing at every vendor. Some IDX services ask for written notice weeks before the term ends. Get these answers in writing before you sign. MLS Import’s answers are in the table above.
- Is the monthly plan month to month, or a yearly term billed monthly?
- How do I cancel? Is a button in my account enough, or do you need an email or a letter?
- How much notice do you need before the renewal date?
- Can I get money back after a charge?
- What stays on my site when I leave?
- Who set up the billing? If your web designer pays for the account, they may have to cancel it for you.
Who owns our brokerage website and listing pages if we stop paying our website company?
Your contract tells you what you can take with you. MLS Import keeps imported listing posts in your WordPress site when its subscription ends. That covers stored listing posts. It does not settle who owns your domain, site design, photos, or other parts of a site built by another company.
Ask your website company to put the handoff in writing before you cancel:

Who owns our imported listing pages and leads if the developer who set up our WordPress site leaves?
Your brokerage keeps the listing pages, as long as the WordPress site, the hosting and the MLS feed are in your name. MLS Import saves each listing as a normal post in your own WordPress database. Nothing in the plugin is tied to your developer, and there is no license key to move. A developer cannot take posts out of a site you control, but whoever holds the hosting login holds the database, so move that login first. So what you keep comes down to whose name is on each account.

Once a day the plugin reports your site address to the MLS Import account it is connected to. That account is the one you want in your name. The import tasks and field settings stay on your site, so nothing needs setting up again after the developer leaves.
Three things can go wrong, and each has a fix:
- The subscription is on the developer’s card and they cancel it. The hourly update stops and sold homes stay up at the old price. Move the card in Payment methods before they leave.
- The developer’s email gets your leads. Check the WordPress admin email and the company email on the Social & Contact tab, change them, then send a test lead. See where property leads are sent.
- The MLS approval is on a staging domain or in the developer’s name. Ask your MLS to confirm it is in your broker’s name on your real domain. See who needs to hold the credentials.
Can we keep showing MLS listings after we cancel MLS Import?
You can keep showing MLS listings only while your MLS rules and agreements allow it. A stored post does not give you the right to keep showing its data or photos forever.
Ask your MLS what must come down and when. Remove listings you may no longer show. Your site also needs working hosting and the tools that display its pages.
How to move your site before you stop paying
Get a full site copy and test it with your new host before you end the old service. MLS Import can pull listings into WordPress once your MLS access is approved. It does not transfer the rights to your old site or get its files from your website company.
- Get the contract and a written list of what will transfer.
- Get control of your domain and the site accounts you need.
- Back up the site files and database.
- Check MLS approval for the site and its web address.
- Test pages, photos, search, and lead forms on the new setup.
- Keep page addresses where you can. Send changed links to the right new pages.
- End the old service after the handoff works.
Hosting and any MLS fees are separate from MLS Import. The move can take longer while you wait for site files or MLS approval. There is no set handoff time for your current provider.

Cancel the subscription
- Sign in at mlsimport.com with the MLSImport account used to subscribe and open
mlsimport.com/my-account/. - Click Subscriptions in the left menu.
- Open the active subscription to see its details.
- Click Cancel.
Expected result: the status reads Pending cancellation, and the end date on the detail table is the last day the connection works. On that date the status becomes Cancelled.
What happens to the listings on my website if I cancel MLS Import?
Your imported listings stay on your website as normal WordPress posts. Many IDX services take the listing pages with them when you leave, because the pages live on their servers. With MLS Import the pages are on your own site.

Three things stop when the period ends, and they are worth separating because only the first is obvious.
- Manual imports stop. Starting one does nothing, because the connection test no longer passes.
- The hourly sync stops. Prices, statuses, descriptions and photos are frozen at the last successful run.
- The daily reconciliation pass stops. If you turned it on, it removed listings that left the MLS. Now nothing removes them from your site.
The third is the one that catches people out. A property that sells the week after you cancel stays on your website, at its old price, with its old status, until you remove it by hand.
If you are leaving the feed for good, deal with the listings before the end date rather than after. Once the connection stops you have a site full of properties that will never correct themselves, and the delete tool on the Tools tab is the fastest way to clear them by city, status or type while everything still works.
Before you cancel
- Export what is yours. Save your own pages, area guides and lead records. MLS Import emails each lead and stores none, so standalone leads are in your mailbox.
- Agency with a client who is leaving? Hand over the domain, content and lead records as your contract says, agree who pays for the feed and the plugin next, and test the handoff before your account ends.
Coming back later
Re-subscribing from the same account restores the connection. Your MLSImport username and password do not change, and your MLS credentials, import tasks and field selections are stored on your own site, so nothing needs rebuilding.
What does need attention is what happened while you were away. Listings that left the MLS during the gap are still on your site, and the reconciliation pass will remove them once it runs again, if you have it turned on.
Cancelling early does not end the subscription early. It runs to the end date either way, so there is no benefit to cancelling the day after a renewal rather than the day before the next one, and no penalty for waiting until you are sure.
If it does not work
- There is no Cancel button. The subscription is already pending cancellation, or it is on hold after a failed payment. The status row says which.
- It still says active after you clicked Cancel. Reload the page. Pending cancellation is a different word from cancelled and both are normal at this stage.
- Imports stopped straight away. That is a different problem. A pending cancellation works to the end date, so check the connection banner in MLS Import Settings.
- You cancelled the wrong subscription. Open a ticket with the order number rather than buying a replacement, because we can undo it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I lose the properties already on my website?
No. They are ordinary WordPress posts on your server. They keep their URLs, their photos stop loading only if the MLS removes them from its image source, and nothing is deleted when the subscription ends.
Should I deactivate the plugin after cancelling?
You can leave it active. It stops trying to import once the connection fails, and leaving it in place means a later re-subscription needs no setup.
Does deleting the plugin from WordPress stop the charge?
No. Deactivating or deleting MLS Import in WordPress does not cancel your subscription, so your card is still charged. Billing lives in your account on mlsimport.com, not on your website. Click Cancel under Subscriptions at mlsimport.com/my-account/ to stop the next charge.
