The MLS Import Design Settings screen controls how your listings look on the front end: page sizes, colours, maps, the property page layout, the card style and the agent pages. It has eight tabs, and this page covers every setting on all of them.
The screen only exists in standalone mode. Changes are saved with the Save changes button at the bottom, and take effect immediately.
General
Properties per page is how many listings a taxonomy or property archive page shows before paginating. The default is 12. Page builder blocks ignore this, because each block sets its own per page value.
Cards per row is 2, 3 or 4 across on those same archive pages, defaulting to 3. It drops to two and then one on narrow screens on its own, so there is no separate mobile setting.
Order by sets the default sort. Alongside the obvious price and newest options there are bedroom and bathroom sorts, and both a newest edited and an oldest edited option, which order by when the listing last changed rather than when it first arrived.
Category page filters
This single control decides which filters appear in the search bar on your taxonomy and property archive pages. Every searchable field is offered: a keyword box, all eleven taxonomies, price, beds and baths, living area, lot size, year built, listed after, garage spaces, stories, maximum HOA fee, maximum days on market, subdivision, and a sort control.
Out of the box only Status, City and Property Type are on. Drag the ones you want into the enabled list. Turning everything off is valid and gives you archive pages with no search bar at all.
A filter that is on but always empty means the underlying field is not being imported. Check the field is ticked on the Select Import fields tab before assuming the filter is broken.
Social and Contact
Company name and Company phone are shown as the contact details on listings whose agent comes straight from the MLS feed. MLS rules generally forbid publishing the feed agent’s own phone and email, so your office details stand in.
Email is your company address. It is where a lead goes when the listing has no agent email of its own, so leaving it blank means those leads have nowhere to land.
Contact form recipients is where the page builder Contact Form block sends submissions. One or more addresses, comma separated. Left empty it falls back to the company email above.
Text for the checkbox label and Text for terms link are the consent wording next to the marketing checkbox on every form. The link text defaults to Privacy Policy. Writing this once here changes every form on the site.
Show ‘What are you looking to do?’ dropdown adds an intent dropdown to the contact forms, and Dropdown options is its comma separated choices, defaulting to Buy, Rent, Sell.
Maps
MapBox API KEY switches map tiles from the free OpenStreetMap servers to MapBox. Left blank the default server is used, which is noticeably slower under load.
Starting Point Latitude and Starting Point Longitude are a fallback centre, used only when a listings map has no results to show. When there are results the map zooms to fit them and these are ignored, which is why setting them does not move a working map.
Default Maps zoom (1 to 20) defaults to 11 and drives the single property map plus the fallback view. 1 is the whole world, 20 is street level.
Use the Pin Cluster on the maps groups nearby pins into a numbered bubble, and Maximum zoom level for cluster to appear is the cut over. Clusters show up to that zoom, and past it every listing gets its own price pin.
Property Page
This tab has six sub screens.
General
Media Section Type picks how the photos are presented: Classic Slider, Vertical Slider, Slider v4, Multi Image Slider, Masonry Gallery v1 or Masonry Gallery v2. Classic Slider is the default.
Property Page Layout
Details Columns runs each details section in 2 or 3 columns, defaulting to 3, and collapses on narrow screens.
Arrange Sections is the layout control for the whole page. Drag sections between Enabled and Disabled, and reorder them within a list. This is covered in full in the property page article.
MLS Attribution
MLS logo is the attribution image your board requires. It shows in the attribution section and on listing cards.
Disclaimer is the required legal text, written once and printed on every property. Two placeholders resolve per listing: %mls_id% becomes that listing’s MLS number and %year% becomes the current year. Basic HTML including links and bold is allowed.
Tour Details
Preferred tour times is the comma separated slot list offered in the Schedule a Tour picker, for example 9:00 AM, 11:30 AM, 2:00 PM, 4:30 PM. Leave it blank and the time picker is hidden, which is why it ships empty.
Overview
Arrange Fields chooses which tiles appear in the Overview strip near the top of a property page, and in what order. The tiles are Updated, Sub type, MLS number, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Size, Year Built and Garage.
Similar Listings
Number of similar listings defaults to 3, and Similar listings per row is 2, 3 or 4 across.
The disclaimer and the tour times both ship blank on purpose. The plugin cannot tell a field you cleared from a field you never touched, so a non blank default would print on every property with no way to switch it off.
Property Card
Property card style is a single choice that restyles every listing grid on the site at once: search results, lists, sliders, similar listings and agent pages. V1 is the standard card, V2 is horizontal with the photo on the left, V3 overlays the price and address on a full bleed photo.
Agent
No. of listings per page and No. of listings per row control the listings grid on a single agent profile, defaulting to 12 and 3.
Arrange Sections orders the agent profile’s content column, which holds About, Listings and Credentials. The hero at the top and the contact rail in the sidebar are fixed and not part of this control.
Colors
Main Color is one accent colour that re-tints the whole front end. Buttons, links, badges, the saved property hearts and the section highlights all derive from it, including their hover shades, so one pick is enough.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my archive page still show 12 listings after I changed the block?
Because they are separate settings. Properties per page governs the archive and taxonomy pages, and each page builder block carries its own per page value used on the page it sits on. Change the one that matches the page you are looking at.
I set a map starting point and the map still opens somewhere else.
That is expected. The starting point is only used when a map has no listings to show. With results the map always zooms to fit them, so the way to change what a map opens on is to change which listings it displays.
Can I set different card styles on different pages?
Not from the settings. The card style is site wide by design, so every grid stays consistent. A developer can override it per grid with the mlsimport_card_template filter.
Do these settings apply to my imported listings on a supported theme?
No. They only exist in standalone mode. On WpResidence, Houzez, Real Homes or WpEstate the theme owns the look of the property pages and its own options control it.
