Put HAR MLS listings on your WordPress site. Each listing becomes a real page on your domain, not just a frame. First, ask HAR which feed you can use. Then connect it in MLS Import.
HAR stands for the Houston Association of REALTORS. It's the group behind the MLS you’ll pull listings from. Founded in 1918, it's over 100 years old. The Houston Realtors Information Service, Inc. (HRIS) runs the MLS on Matrix.
HAR claims to be "the largest individual dues-paying membership trade association in Houston," and the second largest local association in the U.S.
HRIS also runs HAR.com, the public home search site.
According to HAR's 2027 chair letter, they have "more than 50,000" members. HousingWire reported "roughly 48,000 subscribers" in September 2025.
HAR's terms of use list its office at 3693 Southwest Freeway, Houston. René Galvan is the President and CEO. He has been on HAR's leadership team since 1996, working with Bob Hale, who led HAR for 37 years.
The MLS is extensive. In August 2026, HAR reported 60,390 active listings, including 38,947 single-family homes.
HAR’s documents show multiple access routes. Only HAR can confirm which one is available for you.
HAR partnered with Repliers. Real Estate News reported Repliers is HAR.com's "exclusive platform for on-demand delivery of MLS data."
The deal works "without disrupting existing MLS methods." The Repliers release calls it HAR.com's "exclusive platform to license and distribute MLS data in real-time." It runs alongside current delivery methods.
This partnership includes three HAR data sets: HAR Stats, ShowingSmart Stats, and Customer Experience Ratings.
"This partnership reflects our philosophy of providing world-class services to our subscribers," said René Galvan, HAR CEO.
Does "exclusive" apply to IDX, VOW, or broker feeds? Ask HAR.
The HAR data license forms list two Web API routes: Trestle Web API and Bridge Interactive Web API.
Bridge "provides access to a subset of Active MLS Data" and has additional terms and fees not detailed in the agreement.
Trestle data "varies in several respects from the data in the HRIS Matrix MLS System."
Ask the HAR MLS team which Web API route you can use: Bridge or Trestle. Write to [email protected] or call (713) 629-1900, Ext. 5. Then connect that route in MLS Import. Bridge is entry 159, Trestle is entry 1245.
1. Do you approve new Bridge or Trestle Web API data sets?
2. Is the 2024a Broker Data Access Authorization Agreement still the right form?
3. What fee applies to my feed?
To get a feed, you need the right access at HAR. Here’s who qualifies.
HRIS runs the MLS under its own by-laws. They state that MLS participation "is also available to nonmember principals who meet the qualifications" set in the by-laws and MLS rules.
HAR's by-laws require "a current, valid Texas real estate broker's or salesperson's license," or an appraiser license. New members must also complete a course within 60 days.
A Participant can be a principal, partner, corporate officer, or branch manager. The HRIS By-Laws state that "mere possession of a broker's license is not sufficient to qualify for MLS participation."
Lenders, title companies, inspectors, photographers, movers, and stagers can join as affiliate members.
HRIS bills a set monthly fee per role. A broker's fee can be higher. Rule 6.1 adds the fee again for each licensee in the broker's office who is not an MLS member. Some licensees don't count. They subscribe to a different MLS where the broker takes part. The broker must tell HRIS in writing. You pay MLS fees to HRIS. You pay dues to HAR. Both are separate from your MLS Import bill, which we send on our own.
Agent and broker fees are "payable quarterly or annually in advance." They are "non-refundable and non-transferable." A quarterly bill is due one month before the quarter starts. Annual check payers are due June 1 (Rule 7.2.4).
Miss it, and HRIS suspends you on day one of the quarter. After 15 more days, it ends your MLS access (Rule 7.2). The Schedule of Fees and Charges sets the reinstatement fee at $100.
HAR local dues are $132. That's the same as last year, for the 24th year in a row. Texas REALTORS dues are $157. NAR dues are $201. You join all three. HAR says these memberships "are not optional."
The dues page says 2027 dues are due on "December 1st." The last day to pay is December 31, 2026. After that, HAR may charge a $25 fee to bring you back. So there are two different fees to come back: $25 for HAR dues and $100 for the MLS. Dues are not refundable. HAR's dues page lists salespeople as "billed to broker."
MLS Platinum costs $199 plus tax per year. It's optional. HAR gives one free 30-day trial.
HAR's by-laws say the board "may adopt a non-refundable application fee for each class of membership." Ask the dues team (Ext. 4) for the amount.
HAR's posted data forms offer three signing options. Choose the one that suits your site.
Form Broker Data Access Authorization Agreement
Signers The Participant Subscriber broker and the vendor pulling the data. The form requires the broker's HRIS Public ID, Primary Office ID, a tech contact, and an IP address. HRIS signs last after receiving the fee.
Form 2-Way Third Party Services Agreement
Signers The broker and the contractor managing the website. The contractor must have their own data license with HRIS.
Form 3-Way Third Party Services Agreement
Signers The broker, the contractor, and the data licensee.
Rule 18.3.4 states agents "may display information available through IDX on their own websites with their Participant's consent and control." Always ask your broker first.
"MLSImport is not a data vendor, cannot apply on your behalf, and cannot hold credentials for you." You or your broker must sign. Use your real domain on the form, not a test URL.
Here’s what HAR's forms state for a data feed. This is separate from your MLS fees.
From HAR's posted data forms. Confirm with HAR.
Broker form heading: "Active + Off Market Listings (VOW) access"
On the broker form, the broker selects the data the feed includes:
The broker's "Active Listing Data"
"Off-Market Listing Data for the prior 366 days"
Off-market "Deep History," back to a date the broker specifies
"Listing Data where Broker's firm represented the buyer in the prior 366 days"
Public display is limited to Active, Option Pending, Pending Continuing to Show, and Pending.
A VOW feed includes 60 months of expired, terminated, and sold listings. HRIS adds sales tax to each fee.
The broker form is valid for one year and renews when the broker pays the fees. A new primary feed replaces the broker's older feeds. Those can return as added feeds.
Bridge and Trestle may impose their own terms and fees. These are set outside these forms.
Once HAR names your route, it's four steps.
Ask HAR first. Write to the HAR MLS team at [email protected], or call (713) 629-1900, Ext. 5. Ask which Web API route it approves for your site: Bridge or Trestle.
Sign HAR's data license. Pick the form that fits: a broker's own feed, 2-way or 3-way. Use your real domain.
Set up the route.
Bridge: sign in at bridgedataoutput.com. Set up your API app. Open Data Access. Ask for the HAR data set. Wait for HAR to approve it. Don't lock the token to one IP while you set up.
Trestle: open the Trestle Subscription Wizard. Pick your role, most often Broker. Pick Web API. The Trestle client secret expires on a schedule.
Add it to MLS Import. Bridge: pick "Houston Association of REALTORS via Bridge" and add your token. Trestle: open a ticket. Once it's on, pick "Houston Association of Realtors via Trestle." Add the Client ID and Client Secret.
Approval time varies. Our approval guide says a complete application on a fast board can clear in two days. An incomplete one can sit for weeks. So send HAR a complete application.
Our requirements page says "the trial clock starts on subscription, not on approval." So ask for access first. Then subscribe when approval is close.
How HRIS issues access: once it gets the fees and the signed form, HRIS sends a public and private ID password. The form says these credentials "will be subject to periodic reset requirements." So plan to update them in MLS Import when they change.
Step by step guides: Bridge credentials, Trestle credentials and connecting your MLS in the wizard.
You don't need to learn Matrix to run a site. But it helps to know where your data comes from.
HAR says: "Matrix MLS is HAR's Multiple Listing Service, and it is accessible from any web browser and on mobile devices." Agents list and search homes in it. HAR's data forms call it the HRIS Matrix MLS System. For Matrix help, HAR lists [email protected]. Read more on the HAR Matrix page.
Your website doesn't read Matrix. It gets its data from a feed. Still, a change in Matrix can reach your feed. In July 2026, HAR added the Terminated-Relisted status. A new status like that may show up in your data. So watch HAR's news when you run a site.
HAR's RESO ID is M00000599. Its Data Dictionary 1.7 is Certified Current. Its Web API Core 2.0.0 is Certified Current too. See the RESO certificates. The RESO list was last synced on October 5, 2026.
The "systems" line for HAR is empty. So the list doesn't name HAR's server.
MLS Import reads HAR through Bridge or Trestle. So the route HAR approves, not the RESO list, decides which entry you pick.
We list two HAR entries. Entry 159 is "Houston Association of REALTORS via Bridge." Entry 1245 is "Houston Association of Realtors via Trestle (request activation via ticket)." Bridge takes one token. Trestle takes a Client ID and a Client Secret.
HAR's forms say the Bridge feed is a subset of active data. They say Trestle data varies from Matrix. So check your imported listings against Matrix once they come in.
Your site has to follow these rules from day one. They come from the HAR MLS Rules (PDF dated 6/08/2026), Sections 18 and 19.
Tell the MLS you plan to show IDX listings. Give it direct access to your site, so it can check you follow the rules (18.2.1).
Refresh your IDX listings at least once every 12 hours. Show the date of the last data update (18.2.5).
Show the name of your brokerage firm. Use a color and type that are easy to read (18.2.7).
Show the listing firm and its email or phone. Links may go only to the listing firm's site (18.3.3). Thumbnails and text of 200 characters or less are exempt if they link straight to a page with all required disclosures.
Rule 18.3.5 asks for: "Copyright © (current year), Houston Realtors Information Service, Inc." "All information provided should be independently verified". The data is for consumers' personal, non-commercial use only (18.3.6).
Confidential fields stay off IDX (18.3.1). Some examples are showing instructions, the appointment number and agent remarks. Others are the list date, expiration date and sales price. Never show a seller's or occupant's name, phone or email (18.3.10).
IDX may not show Coming Soon, expired, withdrawn, terminated or private per seller (18.3.9). The forms limit public display to Active, Option Pending, Pending Continuing to Show and Pending. For Coming Soon news, see below.
"The sales price for a particular property address is confidential and may not be displayed" (18.3.9). Sold data needs a VOW, with a user login, email, terms and 180 days of records (19.3).
Show an automated value? Then add the AVM disclaimer from Rule 18.3.13.
A second credit line: The 2024a broker form has its own. Section 8 words it as: Data provided by HAR.com © Copyright YYYY "All information provided should be independently verified."
Ask HAR which line your site should show.
Office Exclusive: filed with the MLS but not shared with other members. Delayed Marketing: in the MLS, but held off IDX and syndication for a time. Both come from Rule 1.3 and HAR Form 300.
Pay offers: Rule 5 bans one use of MLS data or feeds. You can't use them to run "a platform to make offers of compensation from multiple brokers to buyer brokers."
The rule says this "must result in the MLS terminating that Participant's access to any MLS data and data feeds."
Plan your area pages around HAR's own area.
The city of Houston, plus Harris County outside the city. Areas given to the North NASA association are left out.
All of Fort Bend County.
All of Montgomery County.
An area set by boundary lines, "including the cities of Baytown, LaPorte, Highlands, Crosby, Barrett Station, and Seabrook."
"The former jurisdiction of the Bay Area Association of Realtors." It includes "the communities of Bayou Vista, Omega Bay and Freddiesville" and "the Incorporated area of Hitchcock."
HAR agents can access listings from other Texas MLSs, but that doesn't mean your site can showcase them. HAR lists these details on its agreements page.
HAR members can view San Antonio Board of REALTORS listings, both active and sold, from May 2, 2023. SABOR members accessed HAR listings from May 9, 2023 (HAR notice). HAR’s agreements page refers to SABOR's system as LERA MLS.
Announced in November 2024: "All ABoR listings, including Active and Sold, will be available in Matrix." HAR Supra eKEY holders can also open Supra lockboxes in Greater Austin (HAR notice).
HAR states: "As of September 30, 2025, HAR.com and North Texas Real Estate Information Systems (NTREIS) have a data share agreement." A March 2025 notice covers "12 local association shareholders" of NTREIS.
HAR’s agreements page notes that the deal "allows HAR MLS subscribers access to Omni MLS, the largest and most recognised MLS in Latin America."
HAR's agreements page explains that the SABOR, Unlock, and NTREIS deals let subscribers see listings "in their native MLS system." A share does not provide a feed of those listings. Check with HAR if shared listings reach a feed or an API. MLS Import does not claim to show Austin, San Antonio, Dallas-Fort Worth, or OMNI listings from a HAR link.
HAR operates a large public home site, builds its own tools, and shares data with other Texas MLSs.
HAR.com is where Houston buyers search for homes. HAR claims it's among "the 25 most frequently visited real estate websites in the country, according to comScore Media Metrix." HAR also reports that HAR.com and its app receive 8.1 million visits a month.
For your site: HAR states member listings receive 40 million views a month on HAR.com and its app. Your own site can include area pages, personal notes, and direct contact details.
HAR developed its own showing tool, ShowingSmart. HAR states it "was developed in-house with feedback from members." It is "included at no extra cost for HAR MLS subscribers."
In August 2026, HAR noted: "As HAR expanded its MLS data shares to include Austin, San Antonio, and NTREIS, ShowingSmart expanded right along with them."
HAR also offers Platinum. This adds a CRM, client portal, website templates, email campaigns, Facebook ad tools, and AI tools. These tools help with your deals. MLS Import serves a different purpose. It puts the listings on your own site.
HAR shares data with SABOR, Unlock MLS, and NTREIS. On September 30, 2025, HousingWire quoted Mario Arraiga, chairman of HAR.com's board: "HAR.com is now the only MLS in Texas partnered with three other MLSs."
For your site: a share isn't a feed.
HAR also mentions that an agent pays $35 a month in MLS fees, lower than the $38 national average. The 2027 chair letter states HAR has kept member dues the same for the "24th consecutive year."
Here are three dated HAR notices from 2026. Each concerns what your site can show.
On April 28, 2026, HAR informed members about a new Matrix field called "Coming Soon Public Display?" HAR's notice states agents can now show their Coming Soon listings "to a broader audience across HAR.com, IDX websites, and participating real estate portals."
The MLS Rules PDF, dated 6/08/2026, states in Rule 18.3.9: "Display of a listing with a status as coming soon, expired, withdrawn, terminated, or private per seller is prohibited."
A HAR update and the MLS Rules status table say a Coming Soon listing lasts up to 21 days. Then it becomes Active automatically. HAR adds: "Coming Soon listings are not active listings, and showings are not permitted while a property is in Coming Soon status." More details were posted on May 2 and May 29, 2026.
For your site: ask HAR which rule applies to your feed. Plan your pages to work without Coming Soon listings. Don't promise buyers that your site will show them.
On July 16, 2026, HAR introduced a new MLS status called Terminated-Relisted. Agents use it when the same brokerage ends a listing and lists it again within one calendar day.
The relisted home receives a new MLS number. HAR's FAQ states "DOM resets to zero, while CDOM continues." DOM is days on market. CDOM is the total days across listings. If the home is not relisted within one calendar day, the status changes to Terminated. HAR clarifies that the new status "does not change how Days on Market (DOM) or Cumulative Days on Market (CDOM) are calculated."
For your site: a new status value may appear in your data. The same house may return with a new MLS number, looking like a brand new listing. Check your imported listings after the change. Review how your pages display the status, days on market, and any old page for the same house.
On March 26, 2026, HAR sent members a reminder. It stated: "HAR's MLS Clear Cooperation rules have not changed."
The email continued: "If a listing is publicly marketed, it must be entered into the MLS within one (1) business day as either Active, Coming Soon or Private Per Seller."
For your site: HAR's rule mandates publicly marketed listings be in the MLS within one business day. Not all of those statuses may appear on IDX. Rule 18.3.9 prohibits Coming Soon and private per seller listings. HAR's Broker Data Access form lists Active, Option Pending, Pending Continuing to Show, and Pending for public display. Set your status filters to that list.
HAR MLS is the MLS of the Houston Association of REALTORS, run on Matrix. HAR, founded in 1918, has "more than 50,000" members. In September 2025, HousingWire reported "roughly 48,000 subscribers."
Yes, with HAR's approval. An agent's site also requires the broker's consent (Rule 18.3.4). Follow HAR's display rules. Refresh every 12 hours and credit HRIS as the source. With MLS Import, each listing becomes a real page on your domain.
The RESO list shows HAR as Certified Current for Web API Core 2.0.0 and Data Dictionary 1.7. Its ID is M00000599. The list's server line is empty for HAR. The route you use is Bridge or Trestle, as HAR approves.
HAR's posted data forms list both. On April 16, 2026, Repliers said its HAR deal runs "alongside existing data delivery methods." Ask the HAR MLS team if they approve new Bridge or Trestle users ([email protected], Ext. 5).
MLS fees are $35 a month for agents and $85 a month for brokers. HAR's posted 2-Way and 3-Way forms list IDX through a vendor at $350 setup and $500 a year. Confirm with HAR. Bridge and Trestle set their charges outside HAR's forms.
The HRIS By-Laws allow qualified principals who aren't HAR members to participate in the MLS. The broker must sign HAR's data forms. An agent's site needs the broker's consent. Start by talking to your broker.
Yes, once HAR approves your route. MLS Import lists HAR via Bridge (entry 159) and via Trestle (entry 1245, activation by ticket). The plugin cannot apply for you. It costs $49 per month after a 30-day free trial.
For Coming Soon, refer to the April 28, 2026 item under HAR news. Sold prices are confidential on IDX (Rule 18.3.9). Sold data needs a VOW, with a login for each visitor.
