Everything to do with billing lives in your MLSImport account at mlsimport.com/my-account/, not in wp-admin. The plugin has no billing screen, so a question about payments, renewals or plan changes is always answered in the account.
Your subscription is what makes the MLS connection work. The plugin itself is free to download from the WordPress plugin directory, so an inactive subscription does not stop you installing it. It stops the data.
Before you start
- You are signed in with the account that bought the subscription. A colleague’s login shows their subscriptions, not yours.
- You know your MLSImport username. It is what the plugin uses to connect, and it is not your email address.
What is on the Dashboard
Open mlsimport.com/my-account/ and the Dashboard is the first screen. It answers most questions without going any further.
- Your plan, by name, with its current status and a Manage button that opens the subscription in full.
- Download MlsImport Plugin, which opens the plugin’s page on wordpress.org.
- Support Tickets, with how many of yours are open and how many you have opened in total, plus Create Ticket and Manage.
- Plugin Setup, the seven step summary of connecting the plugin for the first time.
- How to, the short video guides for finding credentials at Bridge, Trestle, Spark and Navica.
With no active subscription the first panel reads that you do not have one, and offers a link to the pricing page instead of the plan name.
The download button points at the public WordPress directory, which means a lapsed subscription still lets you install and activate the plugin. If someone reports that MLSImport installed cleanly but the MLS list is empty and nothing imports, check the subscription before you check anything technical.
The left menu
- Dashboard, the summary above.
- Subscriptions, where you open a subscription to cancel it or change its payment method.
- Orders, every charge including renewals, with invoices.
- Payment methods, the cards saved on the account.
- Addresses and Edit Account, your billing details, your email and your password.
Support tickets are not in this menu. Reach them from the Dashboard panel, or go straight to mlsimport.com/my-account/tickets/.
Reading the subscription screen
From Subscriptions, open a subscription to see its detail table: the status, the start date, the date of the last order, the next payment date, the end date and, during the first month, the trial end date. Below the table are the actions available in that state, which is where Cancel and Change payment appear.
Three statuses cover almost every case. Active is billing normally. Pending cancellation means you cancelled and it runs to the end of the period you already paid for. Cancelled means the period ended and the API connection has stopped answering.
The next payment date on this screen is the one that matters when you are planning a change. Cancelling, switching plans and moving to a new domain all behave differently depending on whether you act before or after it, and none of them shorten the period you have already paid for.
Frequently asked questions
Can two people from the same agency use one account?
The account holds one login and one subscription per website. Sharing the login shares the billing details, so most teams create the account under a shared company address rather than one person’s.
Where do I get an invoice for accounting?
Under Orders. Every charge, including each renewal, appears there as its own order that you can open and print.
Do I download the plugin again to update it?
No. Updates arrive through the normal WordPress plugin updates screen because MLSImport is distributed through the WordPress directory.
I changed my email in Edit Account. Do I need to change anything in the plugin?
No. The plugin connects with your username and password, not your email, so changing the email address on the account leaves the connection alone.
